Even the best forklift drivers have accidental collisions with racking. While worst-case scenarios involving a rack collapse are rare, impact damage weakens the racking structure, compromising its load carrying capacity and potentially putting both property and life at risk. Where just a 5 mm upright deflection weakens a racking system so badly that it should be replaced, preventing damage is a safety priority and a huge cost saving.

Upright Protector
Designed to fit just about every type of rack upright, the Colby upright protector outperforms traditional steel and plastic rack protection systems through its unique, innovative design and ease of installation.
Tapered surfaces deflect impacts from forklifts, and even simplify bay entry. Impact forces are transferred into the racking brace nodes, rather than into the upright.
Protect-a-Racks are bolted to the upright, eliminating the need for masonry anchors. It wraps around the upright, providing protection from front, side, and rear impacts.
Rack End Protector
Rack end protectors are fixed to the the end of a rack aisle where high forklift traffic occurs to prevent accidental collision damage. These proctectors are heavy duty with a high thickness and grade steel. They can be placed on single aisle, double aisle and double deep racking.
Rack end protectors are bolted to the concrete foundations using masonary anchors.
Rear Upright Protector
Colby’s rear upright protection was developed following reports from customers that although their front uprights bear the brunt of most damage, they were still experiencing damage to rear uprights. This damage was most commonly due to forklift drivers pushing a pallet too far into the ground level storage bay, causing it to strike the rear upright.
The new rear upright protector delivers extra rack protection for a part of your rack that would be costly and inconvenient to repair, and where – crucially – damage is difficult to detect.
